The Blue Van

Lightpole Mosaic By Jim Powers

Back in the day--in 1983 to be exact I saw a man working on this lightpole. He was creating art in the street. I stopped to admire his work and asked him his name. He said "Just call me Mosaic Man". He is in need today of shelter. If anyone can help him he can be found on or about Avenue A and 9th Street.

For TAZ

While I was taking this photo a lovely woman came up to me and told me she was Taz's sister. Although I did not know Taz I was moved by the memorial and this is the second photo I am posting to my blog. Losing a brother is the worst. My sympathies go out to his family and friends.

Seller At The Flea Market On East 4th Street

I bought the most beautiful pink linen retro dress from this woman. It has a hip pocket with a flower applique. I love it and got it for $5.00.
